In your case, stuff is probable Waypoints which contains the coordinates. It could be routes or track.

Known area is different from regions, If your goal is to find mistakes in map data, you can achieve that goal easily comparing maps to known areas. If your goal is to have RB route you to unknown locations, RB has preformed extremely well for me.

For me, RB is a great tool for managing my routes, tracks and waypoints. I use it for planning in connection with google earth and other net resources.

My comments in this discussion are largely focused on the outdated maps and POIs, not routes and their waypoints. Routing is certainly degraded by old data but that's not what this topic is about.

For the purposes of my discussion they are used interchangeably. That might not be the case for other topics.

I have the opposite experience. Routing is unreliable compared to the handheld and in-car nav systems I use, tracks seem to work OK but the lack of topos is a problem for me, and waypoint management is weak IMO.

As it stands RB is a fair program with much promise but is too skeletal to replace other tools I use. If it weren't for the old data and lack of map features I could at least use it for planning.
