Re: Aerial Photos Georeferenced

Apologies on this response slipping through the net. We are looking at working with aerial images in the future but don't have a timeline as yet. RouteBuddy can read ESRI shapefiles (our vector maps are .shp) but we do not expose this feature yet. For B2B use of shapefiles then we can discuss this v...

Re: Two users + Two devices = ??? map licences

Hi Ben, I understand the OS terms state that you can load it on one computer that's only being used by one person, logging in and out in the same household would be a grey area, but I suspect also splitting hairs. However the OS terms state that each mobile user would require an extra licence, natur...

Re: RouteBuddy 3.0

Hi Ben, I think it's possible that RouteBuddy 3.x could eventually be aware of RouteBuddy Atlas and integrate with it. Though I must say, especially via a Mac, that data (and map) transfer can be quite fast via the server. I'll check out MacJournal and see what they do; Be aware though that Apple ca...

Re: Track naming & stats

Hi Ben, Thanks. :) There are many changes we'll be making to Atlas and naming routes/tracks are amongst them. Yes Atlas is capable of showing you the route/track detail and this will be incorporated in a future update. Ha, ha! Yes our ToDo list for Atlas is a very very long one and we are balancing ...

Re: Iphone RouteBuddy ATLAS Track Display

A vote for creating routes and importing tracks (useful to compare what happened last time to what you hope for next time..!). Creating routes is in the pipeline. For outdoors use I think Atlas is more useful in the couch prep time, rather than the wet and windy hillside time - or the slop over a s...

You can, but tracks are (invariably) full of many points and may need editing first.

Re: RouteBuddy 3.0

Hi Just enquiring about when Version 3.0 of RB will be out ? I know you have said in previous posts 'sometime late summer'. Looking at your version history Version 2.6 (your last update) was released on 17th December 2009. Thats over 8 months ago or in computer time 'a verrrrrrrrry long time' !! Yo...

Re: Couple of newbie questions

Hi Andy, Just got myself RB for mac OS, which im very excited about as it means I can hopefully stop messing about with Garmin Road Trip and Memory Map (which I have to run in Parallels). Great! There's plenty more to come in RouteBuddy and RouteBuddy Atlas! :-) However - despite looking on every Pr...

Google Chrome plugin

This software is a Chrome extension that interfaces with the mac application Routebuddy. It automatically finds addresses in web pages and makes them links that open the address in Routebuddy.

Re: Bikehike features

This is a good example of the sort of features that would be really useful. Good points and logged to our ToDo's - thanks. Places is an odd name for Routes in the app, can this be changed. The 'Places' folders are meant to contain a collection of geo-locations, so they can contain anything. If we w...

Re: Unable to access current location

Unfortunately OS4 iPhone update has been causing issues for many apps on the iPhone, including Apple's own apps (text entry in any app has become a real slug, as on my iPhone for example). Roll on the next update... With regards to Atlas we've had one other report and this was caused by the OS4 upda...

Re: RouteBuddy Solo

I have RB on my Mac, Atlas and a couple of maps. The one I use most is the Peak District 1:25k. How does Solo work? If I understand it correctly, £9.99 gets me 1:50k maps of all the NPs, with an unspecified nominal fee unlocking them for RouteBuddy on the Mac. Sounds too good to be true - what's th...
