Thanks, all. I will try the workaround, but affirm that I saw the behavior in a supported action. :) That's what needs to be fixed. Good luck, and thanks Neil as always for your great attitude about feedback. (I've had too many experiences with developers who defend their "baby" at all cos...

Paste URL rounds off coordinates from Google Maps

Hi Neil and Dair, Continuing my explorations with 1.1, I decided to try the supported approach of pasting a URL containing a set of lat/lon coordinates into RB in order to place my goal. In Google Maps, the embedded coordinates are shown to 6 places of precision after the decimal point, e.g.: <http:...

Two finger scrolling on the MB and MBP and the mighty mouse works really well. They both scroll horizontal and vertical.

Glad that works. Maybe someday...

Re: that get my vote!

:) That's great, Neil. And I appreciate very much the effort going into this forum. I just purchased a Garmin Streetpilot C330 Tuesday, which worked great on a trip to Brooklyn...my next step is to see how it works with Google Earth and RouteBuddy. (I know it's not in the supported list, but I'm hop...

With regard to continuing your route onto a new map pane I found that the following works: Mark the waypoints you want on the map then, when you are close to the border of the map, hold the left mouse button down and then hold the shift key down and move closer to the edge of the map with the mouse...

Re: Initial impressions

What gets displayed when is something we plan to revisit, as we would like to be able to support additional ways of displaying map information (e.g., on mouse over, or fading in/out). At the moment labels are drawn as a combination of their underlying type (e.g., highway vs local road) and how clut...

(snip) I find that the scroll bar is more sensitive and works much faster and moves you further when you are performing no function other than moving around the map, I have often ended up in the Atlantic Ocean using this method!! You should not lose your route once you switch to the hand icon (as l...

Routing--am I missing something?

I understand that routing will be upgraded...however: The present routing system, as I understand it, involves clicking on a starting point, any number of intermediate points, and double-clicking on an end point. So far, I am finding that if my route involves going off the displayed portion of the m...

Re: Map Installer Wishlist

I wish that the map installer didn't hang-up and require a force quit. Hi Ray, I thought the map installer had crashed, too. (Very impatient after an 11 hour download! ;) ) But I noticed in Pathfinder (my Finder replacement) that disk space was still being claimed, presumably by the maps, so I just...

Initial impressions

My first impression on zooming in to a familiar neighborhood (okay, my own :) ) is that the threshold for hiding lesser street names is set way too high. (That is, it seems to allow displaying street names only when the scale is at 200m or less...perhaps 500m would be more appropriate and useful.) A...
